BENEFITS OF YES
By participating in YES initiatives, businesses can receive up to two B-BBEE status levels. Depending on the head count target of Black youths placed in workplace opportunities, the following benefits can be realised for businesses:
- An increase of 1 B-BBEE level for 100% headcount target placed and 2.5% absorption;
- An increase of 1 B-BBEE level plus 3 points for 150% headcount target place and 5% absorption;
- An increase of 2 B-BBEE levels for 200% headcount target placed and 5% absorption.
Furthermore, companies have the added benefit of qualifying for the Employment Tax Incentive (ETI) when they employ youths between the ages of 18 and 29. Companies can also claim up to 50% of the Skills Development Spend as informal training for YES employees.
