After completing her matric, Zimkhitha Ngaleka took a gap year from school hoping to find a job, in her own words, “find something that would keep me busy for the year.”

She learnt about Signa through her doctor, where she then applied and began a learnership in Project Management. “My life has changed a lot since Signa gave me an opportunity,” she says. “I have learned a lot, and I am definitely going to apply what I have learned at Signa in the near future.”

Zimkhitha plans to stay in the project management field and study further. She plans to get as many qualifications as she can while retaining the same amount of motivation and drive throughout her career in project management.

She advises others to believe in themselves and not let other people discourage them in whatever they seek to achieve. “Keep pushing and remain focused,” she says. When asked what Signa means to her, the determined Zimkhitha said, “Signa means a lot to me. It is a place that I would confidently recommend to anyone who seeks opportunities. Through the Power of One, Zimkhitha can contribute to her family’s basic needs and the country’s ailing economy.

“Believe in yourself, and don’t let other people discourage you in whatever you seek to achieve.” Zimkhitha boldly made this statement when asked about her journey through her Project Management NQF 4 learnership at Signa Academy under sponsorship with ARTS.

She has used her new skills to add to her career plans and wishes to gain as much knowledge as possible.
